The world of Virtual Reality is growing with every passing minute, with the headsets from companies such as Apple, PlayStation and Meta allowing for experiences like never before. At MeetspaceVR, you can take part in a number of different Virtual Reality experiences, from those that have zero latency and allow you to take on VR battles in a warehouse-sized arena through to Virtual Reality Escape Rooms, that present a mind-blowing experience unlike any escape room you’ll ever have done before. There is also a VR Quest Arena with immersive tasks for people of different ages and skill levels, plus the Digital Play Wall.
How Does it Work?
MeetspaceVR works, as you might imagine, by getting users to put on Virtual Reality goggles and entering into a VR world. The zero latency on offer means that you can interact with the other people taking part in the experience, with each of the game types presenting a different challenge. In VR Escape Rooms, for example, you will need to work together in order to take on the problem-solving in different worlds in order to get out of there before it is too late. In Zero Latency, you’re taking on a warehouse-scale free-roam Virtual Reality experience that is the absolute pinnacle of the world of immersive gameplay.
If you’re a glasses wearer then you will be able to keep wearing them, but you might want to consider switching to contact lenses if you can. The nature of the way that the experience works is such that you will need to be able to walk around unaided, using both hands; although wheelchair users can be accommodated for special sessions. You can’t play the games if you’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs, nor can you play if you have epilepsy or another seizure disorder. Similarly, deaf people or those with severe hearing loss can’t take part and neither can those that have broken an arm or a leg.
What You Might Want to Know
Although you can’t take part in the experience if you’ve had an alcoholic drink or are under the influence of drugs, you can get a drink after the experience. You can also get some food, with artisanal pizzas on offer, amongst other things. There is plenty of on-site parking available for those that wish to drive to the experience. That games have different age restrictions in place depending on which ones you want to play, with anyone under the age of 18 who won’t be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the day needing a responsible adult to sign a waiver for them ahead of taking part in the experience.
If you’re looking at doing the Zero Latency experience then there is a maximum of six people can take part, whilst between two and four can do the VR Escape Rooms. As many as four people can head to the Immersive Play Zone. In terms of what to wear, you will want to be comfortable and bear in mind that neither high-heeled shoes nor hats can be worn during the experience. If you need to wear a hat for religious reasons then certain accommodations can be made, but it’s worth going in ahead of time in order to ensure that this is the case in your personal circumstance.
A Place for Parties
If you’re looking for somewhere to host a birthday party then you might struggle to find somewhere more original than MeetspaceVR. There are numerous different birthday party packages that are available, for example, whilst team-building and corporate events can also be catered for if that’s the sort of thing that you want to do. Obviously what will be included in your package will differ depending on what it is that you’re hosting. As many as 24 people can be accommodated, with even more able to take part if a larger group is looking to use the facilities on offer.
The company is constantly looking to update and refresh its offering, so the sorts of things that you’ve been able to enjoy in the past on previous group outings can be played again or you can look to do something new instead. If you’re in Guildford and after something interesting and different to do with your time, either with your family or a larger group, MeetspaceVR is for you.
