Whatever your gender identity and no matter how you’ve been brought up, we all understand the idea behind being a princess. It is why it is such a popular genre for Disney films, as well as something that everything from movies to adverts has featured throughout the ages.
Whether you want to be a princess or simply wish to be with one, the Princess Proms at Guildford’s G Live is an event that can fairly be described as one that you just can’t miss. During the course of the show, you will hear any number of magical themes from your favourite princess-themed movies, so throw on your tiara and get yourself along to the venue.
What Is It?
This is a concert that is all about the best princesses from the movies and the musicals. That means that a huge wealth of songs that you know and love will be performed, ensuring that everyone present will feel the desire to get on their feet and show their adoration for what is happening in front of them. Whilst the movies and musicals feature as the main backdrop, it is worth bearing in mind that there are plenty of real-life people who feel like princesses and have made music of their own that people have fallen in love with. From Taylor Swift to Rachel Platten, there are pop songs sprinkled in amongst the others that you will immediately know.
The Princess Proms has sold out throughout the country, so those based in Guildford will be delighted to learn that they’re getting a chance of their own to head along to the G Live and watch the magic for themselves. This is a show that promises to stay in your heart forever, offering magical moments that will live long in the memory for you and anyone you take along with you. The group behind the event puts spreading joy at the heart of what they do, meaning that this opportunity is one that you would be daft to miss. It will be an enchanting afternoon that will have you desperate to throw on a princess-esque ballgown of your own.
Where & When

In terms of where this is taking place and when it is happening, the Princess Proms are scheduled to get underway at the G Live in Guildford. The good news is that, depending on when you’re reading this, you still have plenty of time to get your tickets, given that the concert is locked in for the 21st of August 2026. The doors to the G Live will open at 1.30pm, with the start time planned for 2pm. Across the one hour and 40 minutes that follows, you’ll be swept up in an event that will have you wanting to find your own glass slipper and keen to meet a Prince Charming, even if you didn’t think that was your bag before.
In terms of who can go, it is obviously aimed squarely at a younger audience, which is why the advised age limit comes in at three and over. Those under the age of two don’t need to have a seat booked, provided they will be sat on someone’s lap throughout the event. Anyone aged 16 or over will need to buy an adult ticket. Of course, just because it is aimed at the younger audience doesn’t mean that the children we all have within us shouldn’t be indulged. There will be plenty in the show for older people to enjoy, not the least of which is the music that we will all recognise from the best musicals and movies that we’ve seen over the years.
What You Can Expect

The show-stopping performance promised as part of the Princess Proms will entail the cast, which will be largely made up of West End performers and other talented singers, actors and dancers, singing songs from numerous films, animations and musicals that you will know only too well. You can expect to hear performances of things from the following:
- Aladdin
- Anastasia
- Beauty & The Beast
- Coldplay
- Frozen
- K-Pop Demon Hunters
- Moana
- Pocahontas
- Rachel Platten
- Taylor Swift
- The Lion King
- The Little Mermaid
- The Wizard of Oz
- Wicked
- Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
That list is obviously far from exhaustive, to say nothing of the fact that there is no guarantee that all of the songs you’d expect to hear from the various shows, movies and musicals will actually feature, but it gives you a sense of what you can expect on the day.
Things to Think About

As always with anything taking place in Guildford that you might wish to get along to, there are numerous things that you should think about before booking your ticket. The stars of the show have performed on shows that have been on ITV, in front of members of the Royal Family and in the West End, but the exact makeup of the cast isn’t something that can be assured ahead of any given performance. The Enchanted Voices, which is the company behind The Princess Proms, is keen to draw attention to the fact that the trademarks of all of the films, shows and composers that they perform belong to their respective owners.
Tickets are non-refundable unless the show is cancelled or postponed for some reason, although tickets can be sold on. Similarly, ticket transfers to another event are possible if there is availability on one of the company’s other shows. The maximum capacity of the G Live is such that once the event is sold out, no further tickets can be released, so if you’re desperate to go, then you should book your tickets as soon as you can. Disabled people hoping to attend the performance will be able to take a Personal Assistant along for free, provided there are supporting documents. Fancy dress and costumes are more than welcome for the show.
