February’s Farmers Market in Guildford will take place on the 4th of the month. With 50 different vendors along the High Street, you can expect lots of fresh seasonal produce, amongst an array of other baked goods from local artisans.
The Hundred Watt Club return to Guildford in February offering an evening of burlesque, caberet and comedy at the Electric Theatre. The show is for over 18s only and begins at 8pm. Glamorous, vintage attire suggested but not mandatory.
Popular swinging band, Down for the Count All-Stars, will be putting on a performance at the Electric Theatre featuring instrumental song from Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glen Miller, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and more. The perfect Valentine’s Day date night.
G Live will be hosting a Family Fun Day during the February Half Term. There will be DJ workshops, a range of arts and crafts, as well as face painting. Booking is not necessary and the event is free, though there is a £2 charge for face painting.
Located on the High Street, the Farmers Market takes place on the first Tuesday every month with March’s market taking place on the 4th. There are normally around 50 vendors, which includes everything from fresh veg to cheese to chutneys and more.
International magician, Simon Vertue, is putting on a night of magic, comedy and mind reading at the Fallen Angel Bar in the Angel Hotel (91 High Street, Guildford, GU1 3DP). The evening will include live entertainment, a bar for drinks, and an Instagram photo wall. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased online.
The Bracknell and Wokingham Choral Societies will perform Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius at the Guildford Cathedral (GU2 7UP) as part of a 125th anniversary performance. There will be over 180 singers, 3 soloists, and a 60-piece orchestra. Tickets are available to purchase online with an earlybird discount available up until mid-February.
Conducted by Jeremy Backhouse, the Vivace Chorus will be performing Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford GU1 3RR. Tickets are £25 or £10 for students/u18 and can be purchased in advance on the official Vivace Chorus website.

There’s no set time or place for trick-or-treating, however, the sun sets around 4.30pm on Halloween and trick-or-treating traditionally starts around sundown. Please only visit homes that have clearly decorated and have their porch lights on. If you would like to pass out candy, it’s a good idea to put up some decorations up so trick-or-treaters know you are participating. As for the cut off time, we think 8pm is a polite stopping point (9pm at the very latest), but if you’re tired of visitors before this, simply put a sign up on your door to indicate you are finished. Be respectful, stay safe, and don’t forget to say thank you!
