Two of the best things in the world are food and drink. You need both to survive, so you may as well do what you can to enjoy what it is that you are eating and drinking. That is where Guildford’s Sausage & Cider Festival comes into its own, giving you the chance to head along to Stoke Park in order to eat some sausages, drink some ciders and have a wealth of other fun whilst you’re at it. Although it might not sound particularly child-friendly, it very much is, up to and including a Children’s Stage where your little ones can meet and greet various characters.
What It’s All About
Sometimes you can be presented with an event and not have a particularly clear idea what it is all about. When it comes to the Sausage & Cider Festival, that couldn’t be further from the truth. This is exactly what the name suggests: a Festival that looks to celebrate the different flavours of sausage that are out there as well as the various types of cider that you can get around the world. If it sounds familiar to you then that might well be because it is, with the Sausage & Cider Festival being an event that tours around the United Kingdom.
Obviously we’re most interested in what it is when it turns up in Guildford, which is very similar to the experience that you might have had elsewhere. Although both the sausages and the ciders are understandably put front and centre, it is about so much more than that. Once you have had your fill of sausages and washed them down with some cider, you can spend some time taking advantage of the various entertainment options that are available around the Festival site before heading back in for some more food and drink.
Entertainment for All

The key to any good Festival is that it isn’t just one thing. The Guildford Sausage & Cider Festival knows that as well as anywhere, which is why there are a wealth of different entertainment options open to you whilst you’re on-site. For starters, there is live music. A lot of live music.
Tribute Bands Playing in 2026
As well as offering some genuine bands, you can also enjoy some of the best cover bands in the country with the following tribute bands lined up:
- Elton John
- King’s of Leon
- Kaiser Chiefs
- Coldplay
- Stereophonics
- Kasabian
There is also the likes of Barrioke, which is brilliant fun if you’ve never done it before. If you’re a fan of live music and would like to take part in some, the Drum Workshop will be something to look out for at the Children’s Stage. That is also where to head to with your little ones if you want them to get involved in a Circus Workshop, a Kid’s Disco or some ‘Bubble Fun’ as well as the chance for them to get their face painted.
Who It’s For

As you will no doubt imagine from the fact that there is a Children’s Stage, this even is very much for everyone. That being said, you would do very well to ensure that you’ve got a responsible adult with you, given the fact that people under the age of 18 aren’t allowed to be unaccompanied and the cider is on offer almost wherever you look. There are more than 30 different ciders on offer, whether they be recognised brands or ones that are made by local vendors. Here are just some of the ciders that have been available in the past:
- SeaCider
- Black Dragon
- The Cotswold Cider Co.
- Flattler Cornish Cloudy Cider
- Major Jane
- Shape Shifter
- Rosie’s Pig
- Brother’s Cloudy Lemon Cider
- Old Rosie
- Henry Weston’s Family Vintage
- Bad Boy Cider
- The Apple Thief Brewery
- Lilley’s Tropical Cider
The list is far from exhaustive, but it gives you a flavour of what to expect (pun intended) and helps to point out why those with kids might want to make sure that at least one person in the group is tasked with keeping an eye on what’s going on with them. It is a disabled accessible site, albeit with the terrain being a little tricky for some to navigate in places even if it is mostly flat.
