On Friday the 23rd of January 2026, Guildford Cathedral will play host to a show that was sold out when it visited the London Palladium and New York City’s iconic Carnegie Hall. The incredible cast of West End performers is joined by a live rock band, tasked with the job of putting on a tribute to Queen that Freddie Mercury would’ve been proud of. It promises to be an unforgettable night, filled with some of the biggest hits that Queen managed when they were all together, meaning that you can imagine what seeing the original band live and in person would’ve felt like.

If you have dreamed of singing along to some of the band’s iconic songs, from Bohemian Rhapsody to We Are the Champions via It’s a Kind of Magic and Who Wants to Live Forever, then this is the night for you. Hosted by Concerts by Candlelight, you will get to enjoy more than 20 of the band’s most famous hits, all in the wonderful setting of Guildford Cathedral. The entire venue will be lit up by candlelight, meaning that it will offer a sense of atmospheric wonder as well as an ideal setting for one of rock’s greatest ever bands.

The Queen by Candlelight – the Ultimate Tribute to Queen event is taking place on the 23rd of June at Guildford Cathedral. It will start at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 6.45pm whilst tickets will cost a different amount depending on where you want to sit. Here is a look at the list of prices:

  • VIP Tickets – £60
  • Premium Tickets – £53
  • Band A Tickets – £43
  • Band B Tickets – £35
  • Access Tickets – £53

The access tickets include not only the ticket for the disabled person using them but also a free companion ticket. The companion should be an essential requirement for the disabled ticket purchaser. In order to get an access ticket, you will need to show proof of eligibility when you enter the venue, which can include the Access Card offered by Nimbus Disability, a UK Disabled ID Card, a National Rail Disabled Persons Railcard or a Blue Badge, amongst other document types. The Cathedral itself is disabled accessible, with wheelchairs able to be accommodated in the access seating area.
